Gets the value of the specified node.

Syntax

char *XML_GetNodeValue(
  XML_HANDLE hXml,
  XML_Node *node,
  int *ErrCode
);

Parameters

hXml
[in] XML handle
node
[in] A pointer to the XML_Node structure of the node.
ErrCode
[out] A pointer to a variable that returns an error code. Specify NULL when no error code is required.

Return value

Returns a pointer to a string of the value for the specified node if the function succeeds, or NULL otherwise.

Remarks

Returns a pointer to a string of thr value for the specified node.

If the specified node has no value, returns a pointer to the empty string ("").

If the specified node is an intermediate node, the function fails and returns XML_NO_VALUE_IN_INTERMEDIATE_NODE in ErrCode.

If the function fails, it returns NULL and ErrCode returns the following error code:
