We have released a new version (System E9.0) of the system software.
Release history

Changes

  • Updated Decoder to BD01J13.
  • Added GetScreen and SetScreen to native API.
  • Fixed a bug where odd-byte apps and 512KB apps could not be installed.
  • The system settings are now saved to flash before creating the kit.
  • Fixed a bug where device duplication via Bluetooth failed to duplicate if the OS and decoder were to be duplicated.

Note:

　The OPH-5000i shipped as E9.0 will be switched to parts that can only operate with BD01J13 or later. 　OPH-5000i with this new part cannot be downgraded to E8.0/BD01J12 or earlier.

System software update procedure

Follow the steps below to install the Remote Installer (Update OPH-5000i E9.0) on your PC and use it to update the system software on your device.
  1. If the USB driver is not installed, follow the steps on the page below to install it.
  2. Connect your PC to the internet and click the following link.
  3. When the following screen is displayed in the browser, click [Install].

  4. Update_OPH-5000i_E8.0.application file will be downloaded. When you open the file, the installation of Remote Installer（Update OPH-5000i E8.0) will start. Please install according to the guidance.

    Note:

    • Depending on the type of browser you are using and settings such as virus check, a warning or other message may appear before opening .application file. In that case, check the displayed contents, if there is no problem , continue downloading the .application file, save it, and perform the operation to open it.
    • If the installation fails on your browser, please install it using Microsoft Edge. The installer uses Microsoft's ClickOnce technology.
  5. When the installation is completed normally, Remote Installer（Update OPH-5000i E9.0) will start automatically.
  6. Connect your device to your PC with a USB cable and use Remote Installer to update your device's system software. Please check the following page for details on the operation method.

Native API library update procedure

To make your application program compatible with the new version of the system software, update the native API library as follows.
  1. Download a zip file to your PC from the following link.
    E009000.zip
  2. Unzip the zip file on your PC and you will get the following files:
    lib.h
    logapi.h
    libSTARTUPOPH5000.a
  3. Copy these files into your application's project and build the application.

    Note:

    • For existing applications that do not use the functions added in the new version of the system software, you do not need to copy these files into your project and rebuild it.
    • When you install and run an application that uses a function added in the new version of the system software on a device of an older version of the system, the OS displays an error message similar to the following when the application calls the function. If you press the BS key at that time, the device will reboot.
